Who says winter doesn’t visit Southern California? In West Hollywood, the season arrives with a glittering flourish. This December and January, West Hollywood Park will trade palm trees for polar vibes as it transforms into a whimsical Winter Wonderland packed with skating, shopping, sipping, splashing, and plenty of community cheer. From icy adventures to cozy cider and a full-throttle Polar Plunge, the City’s seasonal lineup promises cold-weather fun with a signature WeHo twist.
Skate Under the Stars at the WeHo Winter Ice Rink
Open daily through December 21, 2025 the WeHo Winter Ice Rink invites skaters of all ages to glide, twirl, wobble, or simply hang on for dear life in the most festive way possible. With DJ nights, themed sessions, and 90-minute skate blocks, it’s your chance to create winter memories without ever leaving the neighborhood. Skates are included, smiles are guaranteed, and dramatic falls are entirely optional.
Shop Local & Sparkle at the Rainbow District Winter Market
On December 6 and 7, 2025 the Rainbow District Winter Market turns West Hollywood Park into a merry maker’s paradise. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, browse an eclectic mix of artisans, small businesses, one-of-a-kind gifts, and delicious bites. Expect photo ops, giveaways, live entertainment, and the triumphant return of “Drag on Ice!” on Sunday evening, because only in West Hollywood does a winter market come with sequins and skates.
A Free, Frosty Celebration at Winter Wonderland
On Saturday, December 13 from 1 to 4 p.m., West Hollywood Park becomes a full-blown winter wonderland, no ticket needed. Families will find games, contests, arctic-themed crafts, a soft play zone, face painting, and complimentary hot apple cider warming the day. Should the weather turn wet, the celebration simply moves indoors to the Aquatic and Recreation Center. Winter fun waits for no one.
Take the Plunge at the January Polar Plunge Pool Party
Winter wraps with a splash on January 11, 2026 when the Polar Plunge Pool Party returns to the West Hollywood Park Aquatic and Recreation Center. From 1 to 3 p.m., families can enjoy heated-pool activities, games, crafts, giveaways, and steaming cups of cocoa and cider. It’s winter swimming at its most delightful, no snow boots required.
Whether you’re skating, shopping, sipping, or splashing, West Hollywood’s Winter Wonderland turns the season into something magical, memorable, and unmistakably WeHo. Bundle up (or suit up!), bring the whole family, and step into a holiday experience you won’t find anywhere else under the Southern California sun.
