West Hollywood’s nightlife transit just got its wings (and wheels) back! The PickUp, the City’s free weekend ride, is back on the road after a brief hiatus and it has a brand-new look.

If you’ve ever seen those bright yellow shuttles rolling down Santa Monica Boulevard with a wink and a wave, you know The PickUp isn’t just a ride, it’s a vibe. This rolling local legend is so WeHo: fun, fabulous, and free. And now? It’s been given a full glow-up with rainbow hues so bold you’ll need your sunnies, even at night.

The new design, freshly unwrapped in October 2025, reimagines the classic yellow PickUp fleet with vibrant, prismatic energy. It’s a kaleidoscope ribbon on wheels that celebrates movement, diversity, and the City’s iconic LGBTQ+ spirit. The typography is sleeker, the colors are louder, and the message unmistakable: in West Hollywood we’re on the move, together.

“The PickUp has become a staple of weekend nightlife and community life in West Hollywood,” said Mayor Chelsea Lee Byers. “With its refreshed design, our bright yellow vehicles now shine with more rainbow flair. The fresh look is bold, modern, and unmistakably West Hollywood”.

Since 2013, The PickUp has safely delivered tens of thousands of happy passengers between the City’s hottest spots — from the Rainbow District to the Eastside — helping reduce DUIs, cutting traffic, and keeping the nightlife both fun and responsible. The route loops along Santa Monica Boulevard, with convenient hop-on-hop-off stops from N. Robertson Boulevard to N. La Brea Avenue, connecting some of the most beloved bars, clubs, and restaurants in Southern California.

The PickUp runs every weekend, giving residents and visitors a safe, stylish, and social way to explore West Hollywood without worrying about parking, surge pricing, or missing the fun.
