Across West Hollywood, a Memorable National Night Out

Community
Events

West Hollywood neighborhoods lit up with block parties, barbecues, and new friendships as residents celebrated the 43rd Annual National Night Out.

Neighborhood streets, parks, and gathering spaces across West Hollywood came alive on Tuesday evening, August 5, 2026 as residents joined together to celebrate the 43rd Annual National Night Out. The annual event reaffirmed the City of West Hollywood's longstanding commitment to community connection, neighborhood pride, and public safety.

From block parties and barbecues to music, games, and picnic-table conversations with neighbors, this year's National Night Out once again showcased what makes West Hollywood such a special place: a community of people who look out for one another.

Throughout the evening, residents connected with friends old and new at celebrations hosted by neighborhood associations and community groups. Events took place across the city, including in West Hollywood West, West Hollywood Heights, the Cynthia-Sunset Neighborhood, the WeHo East Neighborhood, and Flores Street “Gelson's Heights.” Community celebrations were also held at Plummer Park, hosted by the City's Recreation Services Division and the Russian-Speaking Advisory Board.

Families enjoyed food, entertainment, and activities while neighbors took the opportunity to meet one another and connect with Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputies, Los Angeles County Fire Department firefighters, Security Ambassadors, City staff, City Councilmembers, appointed officials, and local businesses. These moments of connection during National Night Out help strengthen the relationships that make West Hollywood so welcoming, vibrant, and unique.

National Night Out is celebrated annually in thousands of communities across the country to promote crime prevention, neighborhood partnerships, and stronger relationships between residents and public safety agencies.

In West Hollywood, the tradition has grown into much more than a single evening. It reflects the City of West Hollywood’s enduring spirit of civic engagement, neighborhood involvement, and community partnership.

The City of West Hollywood and its public safety partners extend heartfelt thanks to the hundreds of community members who participated. Every conversation shared, every new introduction made, and every neighborhood gathering helps strengthen the sense of belonging that continues to define West Hollywood.
