The City of West Hollywood helped revelers follow the Yellow Brick Road into 2026 with #BOOM! 2026: An Evening in Oz, a free drug- and alcohol-free New Year’s Eve celebration for ages 18 and over.
Held on Wednesday, December 31, from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on January 1, 2026, the event transformed Plummer Park’s Fiesta Hall into a sparkling Emerald City.
Hundreds of attendees enjoyed an Ozmopolitan evening featuring pulsating beats by DJ Michael Ian, festive décor, a themed photo booth, and complimentary snacks and alcohol-free beverages. The night was co-hosted by drag queens Salina EsTitties and Pickle, West Hollywood’s Drag Laureate, who helped guide guests through a thrillifying and unforgettable passage into the New Year.
Presented in partnership with the Institute for Public Strategies and the Safer WeHo Coalition, the celebration provided a safe and inclusive alternative to traditional New Year’s Eve events, offering a vibrant space for the recovery community, those who are sober-curious, and anyone looking to ring in the New Year without the pressures of drugs or alcohol.
With red slippers on and heels clicked, attendees welcomed 2026 clear-headed and connected, proving there is truly no place like WeHo on New Year’s Eve!
