AquaSpring Fest Splashes Down at West Hollywood Park

West Hollywood community members made a splash this spring when the City’s AquaSpring Festival transformed West Hollywood Park and the Aquatic and Recreation Center into a sun-soaked celebration of fun, creativity, and community connection!

On Saturday, April 18, the free, all-ages event invited residents and visitors alike to dive into an afternoon that was equal parts pool party, park picnic, and springtime celebration. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., laughter echoed across West Hollywood Park as music filled the air and festival-goers embraced the lively atmosphere.

Many attendees arrived dressed in their best themed “coastal cowboy” attire, featuring beachy boots, breezy hats, and plenty of personality. The vibe was unmistakably West Hollywood.

Throughout the park, hands-on activities entertained families as pool-goers made waves with a free Recreation Swim at the rooftop Aquatic Center. Swimmers splashed, floated, and cooled-off under the spring sun as others relaxed poolside enjoying crafts, games, and live music that kept spirits high throughout the afternoon.

Creativity bloomed at flower bouquet stations where participants designed colorful arrangements to take home. Nearby, friendly competition unfolded during live games hosted by Tennacity, drawing cheers and playful rivalries from participants of all ages.

One of the day’s biggest crowd-pleasers was the always-anticipated Cardboard Boat Races. Ingenious, and at times hilarious, floating boat creations took to the pool water as teams paddled furiously, with some sinking spectacularly to the delight of onlookers. Even a splashdown can be part of the fun of the boat races.

In a quieter corner of the festivities, the AquaGong Sound Bath offered a moment of calm amid the excitement. Its soothing tones created a tranquil escape. The festival truly offered something for everyone, from high-energy games to peaceful reflection.

Families, friends, and neighbors mingled throughout the afternoon, soaking up both the sunshine and the sense of togetherness that defines West Hollywood’s community spirit. With outdoor adventures, artistic expression, and aquatic excitement all rolled into one, the 2026 AquaSpring Festival delivered a day to remember and made quite a splash.
